Deploy to Thailand for 30 days at a time, living in hotels and getting full perdiem (you CAN'T beat that). Went to Darwin Australia from Sep 19 1999 till Nov 11th, again living in hotels (but we didn't have the full perdiem) but STILL, what a life.... The dinner went down fine and to be quite honest, it came back up pretty easy too. All because of those dayum Mai-Tai's. Thank gawd the palms around Ft. Derussy could hide the wonderful paintings I was producing that night.Brian Woolnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5657347751045557115.post-15759962042009675252012-07-29T18:24:50.582-07:002012-07-29T18:24:50.582-07:00Love the story. We went over to get him and along came her pimp. He flashed a revolver and that was all it took to sober our buddy up. There was a female civilian on board doing surveys on how the crew responded to the food. I remember from the time we left Bremerton to when we hit San Diego I pissed her off so much that she hated my guts, to the point that when a few Damage Control types and I showed up at a bar that she was at in Coronado, she caught a cab out, "If that Asshole is going to be here I'm not" See ya bitch, was my response to that comment. But on the first night in Pearl I was hammered off of rum and ran in to her on the beach. Next thing I knew we were covered in sand, then a police officer or it could have been a security guard asked if we could please go back to our room...thankfully she had one. She took me up there. we had a great time. The sun was coming up she called me a cab, gave me $100 bill and said "thanks for last night now get out, I have a plane to catch". She treated me like a whore! But fuck it I had drinking money for the next night!

Dave HelegdaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5657347751045557115.post-27698130794999044392012-07-27T08:20:16.032-07:002012-07-27T08:20:16.032-07:00Talk about great memories...
