‘At The Carnival’

 

Seaman Jones met Mary at the soda shop! After chatting for a while they decided to meet for a date at the local carnival!

“What would you like to do first?”

… Seaman Jones asked.

“Honestly, I’d like to get weighed!”

… She replied while batting her eyes!

Arm in Arm they ambled to the booth where a toothpick of a man guessed a person’s weight. If he was off by more than two pounds, that person got a prize! He guessed 110 pounds. Mary got on the scale which read 107 pounds, and she won a prize! The couple went on several rides… the Tilt-A-Whirl… the Fun House… the House of Horrors!

Seaman Jones once again asked Mary what she would like to do next…

“I want to get weighed!”

… She said.

That struck Seaman Jones as rather odd but he agreed and they went back to the weight guesser. This time he recognized her and of course, this time he guessed her weight exactly!

The couple walked away and Seaman Jones said…

“Hey, there’s the Tunnel-Of-Love, we should go do that… you wanna do that?”

To which she replied…

“No, honestly I wanna get weighed!”

Figuring there was something really weird about this girl, Seaman Jones decided he’d had enough and ended the date early by feigning sickness! He took her home and when she walked in the door her roommate asked…

“So Mary how did your date go?”

“Oh Wanda” … she says… “It was Weally Wousy!”
