three cups in the morning and three cups in the afternoon! Then I’d go down to
the Titty Bars and yell…

ReplyDeleteComing from Louisiana where we drink REAL coffee I could not believe what the Navy served us and called it coffee. My first Navy meal was supper on 6 Feb 1952 and I got a mug of coffee. If I had dropped a penny in that coffee I could have read every letter and number on that penny. You want some real coffee, go to Amazon and buy French Market in the white can.
DeleteI was sure that the coffee in the Royal Navy was fortified with the caffeine they removed from de-caf. It was about the only thing that kept me going in defence watches in the NAG!
