'Drug Bust'

While in port San Diego between deployments the Master-At-Arms decided to stage an impromptu Health & Comfort utilizing the dogs from off base while looking for drugs! I happened to be off the ship TAD to some maintenance school on Dry-side when the search began!! When I returned later that afternoon, my Chief informed me of the search!!!

Alarmed at the tone of his voice, I became increasingly nervous as he described how the dog, straining at the leash, led the Master-At-Arms to my standup locker!  A variety of scenarios raced through my mind, but none explained why the dog would behave that way!! Finally Chief put me out of my misery…

“Why did you have a bacon & ham sandwich in your locker Petty Officer?!?”

  1. Had the dogs alert on my car in the shipyard in Mobile. The MAA had a hardon for a few of us because my LPO had kicked his ass on the beach. He just knew he had me cold. I was laughing all the way out. he tells me to unlock the door and stand back. I complied and he starts crawling all over in side my Mustang. Crawls out after finding nothing and goes for the trunk. I am cracking up more. "What's so damn funny Brandt?!" I said did they bring that little GSD bitch? "Why?" I point at his uniform that is covered in dog hair. My stud Shepard rides in there. She was smelling DICK!

  2. was going through b double E school when the announcement came through the barracks that we were all to stop whatever we were doing and get outside, the dogs were coming in. Being a good little troll, I stopped eating and went outside. 20 min later I found what was left of my 20 piece mc nugget box and torn open strawberry shake cup with the wiser thought that I should have taken them with me.....

  3. The FF I was on to finish out my Navy "career" once made a port call in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Half of the kids who worked for me were dopeheads, and you could buy the stuff anywhere for almost nothing. Needless to say, most of them got caught either trying to smuggle weed or hash onboard, or had their stashes found and confiscated when we got back to Mayport and the drug dogs came onboard. Everyone except one IC3 I encountered on liberty a day or two after we got back, stoned out of his mind. He had bought half a brick of hash and hidden it in the speaker box in the CO's stateroom! Now that takes balls!

  4. Well - the best places to hide things are (1) in plain view and (2) where no one will think to look for them. Of course when I was a youngster, I stole some of the pellets they used to burn to let us know what marijuana smells like when it's burning. Dropping one in the principals office and then making an anonymous report, lead to some fun....

  5. I was stationed in Pensacola after boot camp to CTR "A" school in 1969. I had a day off and went for a swim at the base pool. After my swim I returned to the barracks and made the mistake of cutting across the quarterdeck wearing just a T-shirt, swim trunks and flip flops. The MAA didn't like that so he made me buff the entire quarterdeck after changing into dungarees.
